Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General is to present to the National Assembly a report on the activity of the Prosecutor’s Office between January and August 2020, this country’s MPs decided. The proposal of the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party was supported almost unanimously. 179 MP votes in favor and 1 MP voted against the proposal. Ivan Geshev’s actions also contributed to the public discontent and this is one of the reasons for the ongoing protest and the demands for the resignation of this country’s Prosecutor General, BSP MP Krum Zarkov said in Parliament. The report will be presented this autumn during the new Parliamentary season after the summer holiday of the MPs. Prosecutor General Geshev is also on leave.
