On the 54th day of protests in Bulgaria three major intersections downtown Sofia remain blocked by protesters and their tent camps. The night in the camps passed peacefully. A blockade in front of the Council of Ministers building is planned for Monday morning. Later, protesters are to gather at 6.30 pm in front of the building of the European Commission’s representation in Sofia, BNR informs.

The protesters are calling on all who demand the resignation of Bulgaria’s cabinet and this country’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev to join the mass protest on September 2 when the Bulgarian National Assembly is expected to hold its first session after the summer recess.
