The 73rd day of protests in Bulgaria has begun. Protesters are demanding the resignations of Bulgaria’s cabinet headed by Premier Borissov, this country’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and the Speaker of Bulgaria’s National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva. They also demand early Parliamentary elections.

The 72nd evening of antigovernment protests went peacefully and without any accidents, BNR reports.

"What happened in Parliament is a mockery", one of the organizers of the protests Nikolay Hadzhigenov from the so-called Toxic Trio commented during the rally. “They would do anything to make it to the regular elections and organize the voting” Nikolay Hadzhigenov said further.

Demonstrators conducted street procession to the European Commission Representation in Sofia. They held up a poster in front of the building of the EC Representation in Bulgaria and called on the EU to take position on their demands. Some major intersections downtown Sofia were temporarily blocked during the rally.
