Bulgaria marks European Heritage Days

On September 19 and 20 Bulgaria joins the European Heritage Days initiative with over 300 events.  European Heritage Days is a joint project of the Council of Europe and the European Commission.

More than 35 buildings of high architectural value including the Sofia Synagogue, Banya Bashi Mosque, Sofia Theological Seminary, the National Theater and the Sofia University open doors to visitors under the motto “Europe, Common Heritage”. The programme includes thematic trips in Sofia.

Sofia also joins the European Mobility Week. People can drive electric scooters in Sofia or electric bicycles in Vitosha Mountain during the weekend.
