Iliya Gyudzhenov appointed Chairman of Agency for Bulgarians Abroad

By decision of Bulgaria’s government, Iliya Gyudzhenov was appointed Chairman of the Agency for Bulgarians Abroad. Gyudzhenov has the necessary qualifications in accordance with the requirements of the Administration Act, the decision further reads.

Until now, the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad was headed by an acting deputy chairperson, BTA reports. Professor Dr. Iliya Gyudzhenov is a mathematician. He served as Rector of South-West University “Neofit Rislki” in Blagoevgrad twice. He is a member of the Macedonian Scientific Institute.
