For years, the village of Polkovnik Serafimovo located in the Rhodopes has been attracting foreigners who invest in old village houses, repair them and settle there. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the anti-epidemic measures, many newcomers live in the mountain village and work remotely, BNR correspondent Radostina Chernokova informs.

50 people from Great Britain, the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, South Africa and the island of Bali own houses in Polkovnik Serafimovo. Bulgarians who have returned from abroad have also chosen to live in this Rhodope village.
