The most visited historical site in Bulgaria, the Tsarevets Fortress in the town of Veliko Tarnovo, will again welcome tourists on the first day of 2021. The first visitor will be officially welcomed at exactly 12 o'clock at noon and he or she will receive a gift of books and a guide to take them around the architectural and historical complex.

Tsarevets is the only museum in the country which remained open to the public after the tightening of pandemic measures in November.

As of January 2, individual visitors will be able to visit the sites of the National Revival and Constituent Assembly Museum, Tsarevgrad Tarnov Multimedia Visitor Centre, and the Forty Holy Martyrs Church in Veliko Tarnovo and the Nativity of Christ Church in the adjacent village of Arbanassi, BTA reports.
