Gabrovo sanctioned over New Year's concert

An act for violating the anti-epidemic measures- this is the price the Municipality of Gabrovo has to pay for the New Year's concert organized on December 30. The local municipality was criticized for its decision to hold the celebrations, including by this country’s Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov.

Inspectors from the local health inspectorate have ascertained that a crowd of people gathered in the town square. As a result, Gabrovo Municipality has to pay the maximum fine - about EUR 1,530. Gabrovo Mayor Tanya Hristova said she would pay the money herself because, as she pointed out on Facebook, the institution she runs should not be burdened with this sanction.
