Bulgarian state invests 1 million euros in buying private forests

On February 4, 2021, a campaign will be launched for the purchase of land in forest areas owned by individuals. This was announced by the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture. The funds that the state will allocate for this purpose are a little over 1 million euros, and the idea is to add small forest properties which cannot be maintained by their private owners to the state-owned forests.
The ministry reminds that such campaigns have already been conducted in 2016 and 2020. A total of 459 properties with a total area of ​​281,9 ha and a total value of 887,000 euros have been purchased by the state until now.
