On February 9, the world marks Safer Internet Day with the motto "Together for a better Internet", Bulgaria's Parents Association announced. The Association and the Centre for Safe Internet will mark the initiative with an online event at 10.00 am, broadcast live on the Center's Facebook page.

Launched as an initiative of the European Commission in 2004, in recent years the initiative has brought together organizations and institutions in over 140 countries around the world. In the EU, the main organizers are the centers for safe internet.

The main topic of the event in Bulgaria will be false information on the Internet, the risks it carries and how it can be recognized. The idea came from young people from the Youth Panel at the National Center for Safe Internet.
