The memory of the victims of the communist regime was honored with a procession from the town of Lovech (Central North Bulgaria) to the labor camp "Sunny Beach" and a memorial ceremony at the former stone quarry of the communist camp. "These camps were used by the regime to dehumanize people and instill fear in them" said historian Lyudmila Branekova.
