Pamporovo AD decides whether to extend ski season by one week

The ski zone in Pamporovo resort may remain open until March 28, if the management of Pamporovo AD decides today to extend the ski season by another week. Initially, the company had announced that the ski season in Pamporovo would end on March 21 due to the complicated epidemic situation and the increasing Covid-19 morbidity among the employees of the company.

The association "Together for Chepelare" opposed the decision of Pamporovo AD to close the lifts and ski zones in Pamporovo and Chepelare earlier. The association contends that their operation does not contradict the anti-epidemic measures. Skiing conditions in Pamporovo and Chepelare are still excellent and the closure of ski lifts will ruin a number of holiday bookings for next week, announced hoteliers.
