Businessman Ivan Angelov recants testimony before parliamentary ad hoc audit committee

 Ivan Angelov, owner of the company “Gradus” – the biggest poultry meat producer in Bulgaria – has recanted part of the statement he made before the parliamentary ad hoc committee for auditing the government’s over the past 10 years.

After being interrogated at the prosecutor’s office today he stated that he has never claimed to be close to former PM Boyko Borissov or to have asked him for his help with the export of products to other countries. The prosecutor’s office summoned Ivan Angelov after the interrogation of businessman Svetoslav Ilchovski. According to Ivan Angelov the accusations of pressure and extortion made by grain producer Svetoslav Ilchovski against him are over a trade dispute between the two.
