The caretaker cabinet has proved that ministers with different political beliefs can unite around clear principles, priorities and values, Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev said at a working meeting with the ambassadors of the EU, Switzerland and the United States.
Regarding the sanctions imposed on Bulgarian individuals and companies under the Global Magnitsky Act, the Bulgarian head of state welcomed the decision of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs in the EP to send its mission.
Rumen Radev also praised the positive signals in recent weeks in the relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia and the resumption of dialogue at the highest level.
The participants in the meeting also commented on the spending of huge public funds by the former government through the so-called in-house award, not through public procurement.
