US ready to assist Bulgaria in addressing challenges in the sphere of defence

Minister of Defence Georgi Panayotov held a video conference call with Mara Karlin, Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs on issues pertaining to the US' international security.

Mara Karlin expressed gratitude for Bulgaria’s consistent policy in a number of spheres of bilateral cooperation, and noted the US’ readiness to assist the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence in addressing the existing challenges. Bulgaria and the US reaffirmed their desire to continue to develop the joint initiatives within the frameworks of the strategic dialogue in the sphere of defence.
