Veliko Tarnovo district has become a Covid-19 red zone as morbidity reached 203 cases of coronavirus infection per 100,000 people. 117 patients are being treated in hospital. There are 466 active cases of Covid-19 in Veliko Tarnovo district. The district has problems regarding the delivery of medicines, reported the BNR’s correspondent in Veliko Tarnovo Zdravka Maslyankova.
A third Covid-19 unit will be opened in the multi-profile district hospital for active treatment “Dr. Stefan Cherkezov”. 42 patients with established coronavirus infection are being treated in this hospital, including four patients in intensive care. “The patients are mainly tourists and people who work abroad”, said the hospital’s Director Dr. Stefan Filev.
