2,573 new daily coronavirus cases reported in Bulgaria, positivity rate surges to 11.5%

2,573 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 22,333 tests performed in the country over the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 11.5%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 13% of the new infections are of people who are vaccinated. The highest number of confirmed cases is in Sofia - 542. The number of active cases is 42,771.

5,152 patients with Covid-19 are being treated in hospital, 449 of them are in intensive care. 677 is the number of new hospitalizations in the past 24 hours, 55 or 8.12% are of patients who have been vaccinated. 87 have died in the past day, 3 of them, or 3.45% have been vaccinated. 2,159 is the number of reported recoveries.

A mere 7,968 doses of vaccine were administered in the past day, bringing the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle to 1,318,066.
