New excise stamps for alcohol come into effect as of 1 April 2022

Bulgaria’s Finance Minister has issued an order by force of which new excise stamps for bottled alcoholic beverages come into effect as of 1 April, 2022.

The new excise stamps were supposed to have been introduced on 1 January, 2022 but after talks with representatives of the sector, who demanded a delay, the date was put back. However, the new excise stamp samples for tobacco products will be introduced as of 1 January, 2022.
