No water pollution was detected within a radius of 1 mile around the cargo ship "Vera SU", which ran aground near the protected area Yaylata, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Transport announced.

A drone sent by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) carried out a detailed inspection of the area. Bulgaria requested technical assistance from EMSA as part of the measures to reduce the harmful effect on the environment. Two barges are already traveling to Bulgaria to syphon off the liquefied cargo from the stranded ship.
