Number of officially registered Covid-19 infections in Bulgaria hit over 90,000

5,643 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases out of 41,613 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 13.6%, National Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 86.99% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated. 

90,543 is the number of registered active cases in the country. 7,373 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, 607 of them in intensive care. 90% of the 902 new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. 154 people with established coronavirus have died in the past 24 hours, 93.5% of them were not vaccinated. 2,225 is the number of reported recoveries.

25,424 doses of vaccine were administered in the past day. 1,479,038 people in the country are now fully vaccinated, or around one-quarter of the people living in Bulgaria.
