Average salary in healthcare falls, wages in agriculture on the rise

In the third quarter of 2021 the average monthly salary for Bulgaria reached 777 euros. Despite the severe situation related to the coronavirus pandemic, the average salary in the Human Health and Social Work sector fell by 5.4% in the third quarter compared to the second quarter of the year, according to data from the National Statistical Institute. The largest rise in wages was observed in agriculture - 7.8%, and activities related to culture, sports and entertainment - 6.9%. The highest salary is reported in the sector "Creation and dissemination of information and creative products; telecommunications"- 1,885 euros.
