Day of Mourning: Bulgaria pays homage to the victims of two tragic incidents

November 24th has been declared Day of National Mourning in Bulgaria in memory of the victims of two tragic incidents. The national flags of all state institutions will fly at half-mast.

On November 22, nine people died in a fire caused by a boiler in a nursing home in a village in the Varna region. 
In the early hours of November 23rd, a tourist bus of North Macedonian company crashed on Bulgaria's Struma motorway, killing 46 people. Among the dead is a family of 10 members, there are also children. 7 survivors of the severe accident were hospitalized in the capital's emergency hospital "Pirogov". 
The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, arrived in Bulgaria urgently to get acquainted on the spot with the circumstances surrounding the incident.
