World-famous tenor José Carreras, who is to take part in tomorrow’s grand concert Opera d’amore in Armeets Arena hall in Sofia, was bestowed the badge of honour of the Bulgarian President.

José Carreras on his part said it was a great honour to receive this award in Bulgaria, adding that he had first visited the country in 1990 for the birthday of the great Nikolay Gyaurov, and that through the years he had performed side by side with many Bulgarian artists.
