Bulgarian Minister of Finance: We expect Budget 2022 to be adopted in February

We end 2021 with a budget deficit of around 3%, as allowed by the Maastricht Treaty on the fiscal rules of the EU Member States. It is realistic that the 2022 budget would be adopted by parliament in February and there would be deficit. The framework is not ready yet and its main parameters cannot be announced, Finance Minister Asen Vassilev said. According to him, the minimum wage is likely to reach 363 euros a month.

Minister Vassilev also said talks on the Recovery Plan were under way in the EC. Work needsto be done is in the energy sector. It is expected that in mid-January there will be a version that will work for Brussels and for the Bulgarian energy sector, it was reported.
