Veliko Turnovo presents its cultural and historical heritage at tourism fair in Madrid

The diverse cultural and historical heritage and tourist potential of Veliko Turnovo is to be presented at the biggest specialized tourism fair in Spain FITUR, the municipality press centre has announced.

At the forum which, opens in Madrid today, the municipal tourist agency Tsarevgrad Turnov will present Veliko Turnovo as Bulgaria’s historical and spiritual capital, a year-round cultural tourism destination. After the municipality took part in the fair for the first time in 2019, the number of Iberian tourists went up by 30%.
