89 Covid-19 deaths in past day, 98% of them among unvaccinated

4,616 is the number of new Covid-19 cases registered in the past day out of 28, 873 tests performed in the country, a positivity rate of 16%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 76% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

The highest number of new infections has been reported in Sofia -  1,038, in Varna – 635, and in Plovdiv – 3865,347 patients are being treated in hospital, 588 of them in intensive care. 85% of the 544 new hospital admissions are among the unvaccinated.

89 Covid-19 patients have died in the past day, 98% of them were not vaccinated. 8,930 are reported as recovered. 247,517 is the number of active cases in the country.

6,120 doses of vaccine against Covid-19 have been administered in the past day, 2,036,346 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in the country, 670,361 have taken a booster dose.
