11.75% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

919 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 7,823 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 11.75% of the tests have returned positive results. 2,187 people are being treated in hospital, as 255 of them are in intensive care units. 65 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 78.46% of them were not immunized. 6 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day and 518 have been reported cured.

The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-282, followed by Varna-132 and Plovdiv-114.

A mere 523 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday. 2,056,729 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle. 710,810 have had a booster shot.
