Thousands of Ukrainian refugees organize march in Sunny Beach to say “Thank you!”

Thousands of Ukrainians, together with their children, organized an anti-war protest in the resort of Sunny Beach in the pouring rain today. They raised the Ukrainian flag, children’s drawings and posters with “Thank you, Bulgaria” written on them as a token of gratitude to the people who have given them shelter, and to all people who have helped them. The Ukrainian refugees then proceeded to the seashore, calling it “Peace march”.

“I am from Mariupol. We are against the war. We are praying that our town may be saved – there are thousands of peaceful civilians there who are suffering hunger, cold, who face death,” one of the Ukrainian refugees said.
