Bulgarian Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev asked the Constitutional Court to cancel the closure of the Specialized Criminal Court and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office, which was adopted by Parliament. The arguments state that the reappointment of magistrates is an infringement on the independence of the judiciary and violates the principle of separation of powers.
