The Russian offensive in Sievierodonetsk continues, with Moscow's troops now controlling large parts of the city. However, according to British intelligence, the Ukrainian army has started a successful counteroffensive in the Kherson region. Russian forces destroyed bridges over the Ingulets River to stop Ukrainian attacks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed that there was some success in the Kherson region. In another video address on the 97th day of the war, Zelensky pointed out that the rocket systems Kyiv expects from the United States would be used only on Ukrainian territory.
