The Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria Vitaly Moskalenko had asked Bulgaria for weapons for Ukraine, by official note, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said for the BNR. The note will be sent to the competent institutions, the ministry specifies.

“There is no need for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to forward Ukraine’s request to the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Bulgaria’s National Assembly has decided that Bulgaria will not export weapons to Ukraine. The case is closed”, Minister of Economy and Industry Kornelia Ninova said.

Just over a month ago, the Bulgarian National Assembly approved a proposal to provide military-technical assistance to Ukraine, which provides for the maintenance and repair of military equipment. However, the Parliament has resolved that Bulgaria is not going to export weapons to Ukraine.
