The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) is ready to form a cabinet if it receives the third exploratory government-forming mandate, BSP leader Kornelia Ninova said during the consultations with Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev. The socialists will rely on the governance programme developed with the previous coalition partners "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria". Kornelia Ninova highlighted the following priorities:

"The Bulgarian Socialist Party will continue to be the social party that prioritizes social policy. The governance programme includes measures for young families, pensioners, etc. Our second priority is connected with concrete steps aimed at supporting the economy in the difficult months ahead. Thirdly, we strongly believe that the uncompromising fight against the model of governance of GERB and Boyko Borissov must continue. Adequate social policy can only be the result of putting an end to theft, corruption and leakage."

BSP will neither negotiate, nor enter in a coalition with GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Kornelia Ninova pointed out. "We prefer a political cabinet instead of a cabinet of experts, Thus, it will be clear who bears the political responsibility. The future Prime Minister should be nominated by "We Continue the Change", added Kornelia Ninova.
