Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia are willing to transit the additional quantities of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, agreed between the European Commission and the President of Azerbaijan in July this year. Thus, Central, Western and Southern Europe will be able to receive natural gas in a prompt and secure manner and at a lower price, Bulgaria’s head of state Rumen Radev said after the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Sofia. "During the meeting with President Rumen Radev, we discussed supplies of additional quantities of natural gas for Bulgaria", Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said

On Saturday, Ilham Aliyev will attend the ceremony for the official commissioning of the Bulgaria-Greece gas interconnector, which will enable Bulgaria to receive 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year under the contract with Azerbaijan.
