Bessarabian Bulgarians waiting for answer if Sofia would send weapons to Ukraine

There is still no answer to the open letter of Bessarabian Bulgarians who called on the Bulgarian institutions to send weapons to Ukraine, Oleksandr Beron from Bolhrad, creator of the "Bessarabian Front" news channel, has told the BNR.

"We are Ukrainians, each of whom has different ethnic backgrounds. Our diaspora is of Bulgarian origin. We want to talk about our opinion, not the gentlemen who serve some interests of Putin's Russia. Many times we heard false claims that Ukraine was bothering Bulgarians, killing them, sending them to the front to die. This is an absolute lie! 200 years ago our ancestors came and turned an empty land into a golden garden. This is our homeland and we must protect it," Beron said.
