The Turkish Prosecutor's Office has started an investigation into the incident on the Bulgarian-Turkish border in which a Bulgarian border police officer was killed. The shooter has been arrested. This is what the ambassador of Turkey to Bulgaria, Aylin Sekizkök, told BNT.
Turkish experts are working on all possible versions. However, it must be clarified whether it is really a shooting during the trafficking of refugees or the reason is different, the ambassador said, and emphasized that so far there have been no similar cases along the border.
Deputy Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov told bTV that the Turkish authorities have announced that two people have been detained - the alleged perpetrator and his helper, who are not Turkish citizens.

"We will demand that these two persons be extradited and tried in our country. It is being established who they are. We are in constant communication with the Turkish prosecutor's office," said Sarafov. According to him, the shooting might also be related to drug trafficking.
