"The projects included in the Recovery and Resilience Plan should ensure the sustainable development of the Bulgarian economy. Bulgaria views the Recovery and Resilience Plan not just in terms of financing, but as an opportunity for real modernisation of the country", President Rumen Radev said at a meeting in Sofia with the head of the European Commission’s Recovery and Resilience Task Force (RECOVER), Celine Gauer.

"The funds will support important areas such as education, healthcare and justice, Bulgaria’s Head of State pointed out. The projects envisaged under the Recovery and Resilience Plan should also contribute to a sustainable and socially just transition by ensuring the best energy mix and support Bulgaria in its desire to continue establishing itself as a regional energy hub through the deployment of innovative and environmentally friendly technologies, President Radev added.
