MPs from 10 parliamentary committees met with the head of the Recovery and Resilience Task Force, Celine Gauer, who is visiting Bulgaria. In her address to the MPs, she pointed out that the early elections and the lack of a regular government is not an obstacle to the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
According to Gauer, this plan is aimed at coping with long-term challenges facing the country, regardless of the government. Gauer highlighted as priorities the fight against corruption, the energy transition, social transformation, support for regions and investments in education and healthcare.
Kalina Konstantinova, chairperson of the Committee for Electronic Government and Information Technologies, highlighted the importance of the Plan and expressed satisfaction with the fact that Bulgaria has already received the first payment under it.
