Bulgaria’s lawmakers voted at a second reading to keep the multimember constituency for expatriate voters. The MPs also rejected the proposal to raise from 40 to 100 the number of voter applications required for the opening of a polling station abroad.
The National Assembly also voted against the proposal to raise from 15 to 25 the number of the Central Election Commission’s members. The public council with the Central Election Commission was also kept. The lawmakers did not approve the proposal to open ballot counting centers outside the sectional election commissions.
