The last project adopted at first reading by the Bulgarian parliament for 2022 is related to changes to the Law on Labor Migration, which would ease the possibilities for hiring highly-qualified foreigners through the so-called "Blue Card". Only "Vazrazhdane" and MRF voted against.

"Vazrazhdane" party spoke about a threat to national security due to removal of the requirement that foreigners applying for work should undergo a check by the Ministry of the Interior and pointed out fears of undercutting the labor price. The MRF saw similarities with the so-called golden visas that were previously issued for investments. “We Continue the Change” replied that resistance to the law was resistance to Bulgaria’s economic growth, reporter Maria Fileva informed.
