Bulgaria’s National Assembly rejected without any debate the draft declaration of "We Continue the Change"- the party which holds the second government-forming mandate. The document sets out national priority goals and tasks before the 48th National Assembly, and the measures to achieve them. The parliamentary group of "We Continue the Change" proposed that the parties in Parliament unite around four national goals.
Only Democratic Bulgaria, former coalition partner of "We Continue the Change", voted in favor of the declaration. Premier-designate Nikolay Denkov commented after the vote that most MPs were not ready to hold a discussion on Bulgaria's priorities in the coming years. "We Continue the Change" already stated that they will return the mandate unfulfilled, if their declaration does not receive the necessary support in Parliament.
