The new information system assisting road traffic control in Bulgaria, which has been in effect since January 4, was officially unveiled today.
The system allows police officers to check information about vehicles and drivers (legal capacity, psychological fitness, etc.) and carriers (license, etc.) in national and European registers in real time. When irregularities are detected, the issued documents are automatically entered into the system, being printed on mobile printers and delivered to the offenders on the spot.
