Dozens of Bulgarians from all over the country express their sympathy for Syria

The horrifying footage of the destruction caused by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria deeply touched the hearts of all. Their consequences know no political boundaries, nor ethnicity, what matters is the desire to help those in need.

It was with this motive that many Bulgarians responded to the call for support for Syria, which, in addition to the devastating earthquake, is also experiencing a civil war. Therefore, reaching the affected people in the border regions of Syria with Turkey is extremely difficult.
Among the donors for Syria is the famous Bulgarian artist Angela Minkova, who took the aid collected by her and two other friends to the Syrian embassy in Sofia.

"I was surprised by how many people - people of different ages and from different parts of the country were already here",  Angela Minkova told Radio Bulgaria specifically. "The lobby of the Syrian embassy at 13A Simeonovsko Shosse Blvd. is overflowing with bags, boxes and packages. I was so impressed that I made a video and uploaded it to my FB page. While I was there, people continued to come with warm hearts in the cold weather.''

The artist explains that the aid with essential medicines must be purchased from a pharmacy and accompanied by a receipt to certify their origin. This is necessary for their crossing the border.
