Bulgaria reports 2 Covid-related deaths in past day

62 is the number of new Covid-19 infections registered in the country out of 2,892 tests performed in the past 24 hours, 11 up on the previous day. More than 51.6% of the new cases of coronavirus infection are among the unvaccinated. The positivity rate stands at 2% versus 1.8% on Tuesday, Single Coronavirus Information portal data show.

The number of active cases increased with 17 to 2,694. 14 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 195 patients with an established coronavirus infection are being treated in hospital, as 22 are in intensive care units.

2 Covid-related deaths have been registered in the past day. 43 people have been reported cured. 38,200 Covid-related deaths have been registered since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

101 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday.
