Alexander Donski scores two victories at tennis tournament in Tunisia

Three Bulgarian tennis players qualified for doubles quarterfinals of tournament in Antalya (Turkey)

Bulgaria's Alexander Donski recorded two victories and qualified for the second round in singles and the quarterfinals in doubles at the tennis tournament in Monastir (Tunisia) with a prize fund of 25 thousand dollars.

Bulgaria's national Davis Cup competitor played doubles with Robin Bertrand (France) and together they defeated Kazuki Nishiwaki (Japan) and Karan Singh (India) 7:6(5), 6:2 in 77 minutes.

Earlier in the day, Donski defeated wild card participant Anro Nel (South Africa) 7:6(2), 3:6, 6:2 in 2:17 hours. His opponent in the second round will be determined on Wednesday in the match between Moez Eshargui (Tunisia) and Ioannis Xilas (Greece).

Meanwhile, three Bulgarian tennis players qualified for the doubles quarterfinals of the tournament in Antalya (Turkey) with a prize fund of 15 thousand dollars.

Gabriel Donev and Iliyan Radulov defeated Marsel Ilhan of Turkey and Artem Tiutiunov of Russia 6:2, 6:1 in just 45 minutes and will play in the second round with the leaders in the scheme Johan Nikles (Switzerland) and Eric Vanschelboim (Ukraine). 

Bulgaria's Janaki Milev and Matthias Ujvary of Austria defeated the Slovenian brothers Mak and Nik Mikovic 7:6 (7), 3:6, 10:3. Their next opponents will be Umut Akkoyun (Turkey) and Igor Gimenez (Brazil).

On Wednesday, Milev, Donev and Radulov begin their participation in the singles tournament.
