A Bulgarian citizen (Sergei R.) was detained for planning a terrorist attack in Belgium, local media reported referring to a statement by the Federal Prosecutor's Office. Belgian police carried out raids in Brussels and Antwerp against young radicalised jihadists. Five Belgian nationals and a Turkish citizen were also arrested.
The detainees are charged with taking part in the activities of a terrorist group. According to the media, the detainees are linked to jihadists from the Islamic State, which claimed responsibility for the attacks in Brussels on March 22, 2016.
