Bulgaria and South Africa will cooperate in the sphere of higher education. The Council of Ministers have approved a draft program between the governments of the two countries.

For the first time, a framework for cooperation in higher education between the two countries will be created. Student exchange programs and promotion of direct cooperation between universities are planned. It is expected that up to 10 scholarships will be awarded annually on a reciprocal basis for a full-time study in the educational qualification degree "Bachelor" or "Master" in public universities, with the exception of the fields of "Health” and “Sports" as well as "Arts".
