After a meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, British Ambassador to Bulgaria Rob Dixon stated the UK was ready to help Bulgaria even more actively to combat disinformation.

The Government Communication Service International (GCSI) has approved a new project for Bulgaria. The GCSI supports the establishment of the designated strategic communication department at the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for addressing unfriendly information campaigns.

Strategic communication units are to be set up at the Ministry of Defence and the State Agency for National Security. Ambassador Dixon lauded Bulgaria for the progress made in the judicial reform, and offered material and financial assistance for tackling irregular migration.
