Bulgaria’s Navy marks 144th anniversary

The Bulgarian Navy is celebrating the 144th anniversary of its establishment with a string of different events.

The celebrations are taking place in Varna and Burgas. At 10 AM today, flowers will be laid at the Sailor Monument in the Sea Garden in Burgas, and from 7 until 7.30 tonight, there will be a concert by the Naval Brass Band in the square in front of the town hall in Burgas. In the afternoon on 12 and 13 August, ships of the Bulgarian naval forces will be open to the public in the marine stations in Varna and Burgas.
