Bulgaria will join the efforts of the G7 countries to provide long-term security support to Ukraine, the government said. Bulgaria is providing political and practical support to Ukraine, which, by opposing Russian aggression, is directly contributing to the protection of the freedom, security and sovereignty of all European member states, the statement reads.

The Joint Declaration in Support of Ukraine was announced on July 12 at the NATO Summit in Vilnius on behalf of the G7 countries, as well as by the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission. It has already been supported by dozens of countries. At the beginning of August, Ukraine and the USA started talks on concrete security guarantees for Kyiv.
