The Cultural and Information Center "Bosilegrad" celebrates 25 years since its creation. The celebration was attended by Bulgarians in the Western Outlands, the Bulgarian Ambassador in Belgrade Petko Doykov, the Consul General in Nis Dimitar Stanev, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Agency for Bulgarians Abroad and other institutions

The Cultural and Information Center in Bosilegrad opened its doors on October 2, 1998 in the conditions of civil war during the process of the breakup of Yugoslavia. "The Cultural Center played a decisive role for the return of Bulgarian culture after decades of absence. We built a monument to Vasil Levski, restored the churches "Saint Spas" in Dolna Lyubata and "Saint Ivan Rilski" in Paralovo. Thanks to the Sofia Municipality, the most famous people in Bulgarian music, culture and art have visited Bosilegrad", the chairman of the Cultural and Information Center, Ivan Nikolov, said.

He thanked the Bulgarian institutions for their assistance and called for the implementation of European standards for minorities in Serbia.
